The position is responsible for ensuring positive resolutions to rate cases, integrated resource plans, and other regulatory filings in the states within which we operate. The position has direct reporting relationships with the regional regulatory Directors and managers and as such is expected to be the expert on US regulation and all related matters; including being an expert witness representing company interests in each regulatory jurisdiction. This position is responsible for ensuring all reporting requirement to external regulatory authorities will be completed accurately, on time. The position is also responsible to develop and implement regulatory outreach strategies, rates filings, and regulatory filings. Has primary responsibility for managing the relationship with regulatory commissions/authorities and ensuring that the policies and procedures of the organization comply with all applicable laws and regulations. Provide regulatory leadership and advice to key stakeholders to ensure regulatory compliance and to maximize earnings.
