The Director/Senior Director, Market Access & Marketing will lead the market access strategy for LYBALVI and ARISTADA.
This role requires the ability to protect and improve market access through creative strategies, pricing, contracting and HEOR alignment therefore requiring a leader who can move fluidly between access economics and value story creation and who can translate both into a clear, compelling narrative for senior leadership.
The level (Director vs. Senior Director) will be calibrated based on the candidate's demonstrated scope of experience, strategic maturity, and readiness to operate with a high degree of autonomy at the senior leadership interface.
Responsibilities:
Develop and own the end-to-end market access strategy for ARISTADA and LYBALVI.
Optimize strategy for ARISTADA (formulary retention, GTN management, competitive response to generic or in-class pressure) and a growth strategy for LYBALVI (share capture, formulary expansion, access barrier removal, competitive entrants).
Prioritize resources and investment across both brands based on lifecycle stage, competitive dynamics, and portfolio-level ROI
Continuously reassess the access strategy as competitive entrants enter the market
Partner with HEOR to prioritize evidence generation that supports both brands
Monitor mental health, policy, and payer landscape and adjust strategy proactively.
Collaborate with brand teams to ensure market access requirements are specifically interwoven with brand plans
Oversee patient support and affordability program strategy (co-pay and fulfillment programs) as a lever for both adherence and uptake
Ensure field-facing materials and sales enablement tools reflect current access realities so the sales organization can sell with accurate, current payer information.
Own the strategic narrative for both brands in front of senior leadership
Deliver concise, direct updates on performance, risks, and strategic recommendations at leadership and Management committee forums
Build credibility as a trusted strategic voice - someone leadership turns to for strategic insight and guidance not just execution status updates.
Manage, coach, and develop direct reports, building their strategic capability and readiness for increased scope over time.
Set clear expectations and give direct, specific feedback that builds both tactical execution skill and strategic/communication maturity.

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $276,000 to $295,000. In addition, this position is eligible for an annual performance pay bonus. Alkermes has recently adopted a hybrid working environment to support and meet the needs of employees and this role will operate in a flexible environment with 60% of time in the office and 40% from home. This position is eligible for the hybrid workplace model, requiring work to be completed onsite at our Waltham, MA office at least 3 days per week. This role is not eligible for fully remote work.
