Position Summary...
We are looking for a highly strategic, execution-oriented leader to drive complex, high-priority initiatives from idea through implementation. This role requires someone who can operate at multiple altitudes—shaping strategy and recommendations with senior leaders while also getting into the details to build plans, solve problems, create tools, connect stakeholders, and move work forward. The ideal candidate thrives in ambiguity, quickly creates structure where it does not yet exist, and turns strategic priorities into action. They must have the presence and judgment to influence and direct senior leaders, while also having the willingness and capability to personally roll up their sleeves and get work done. They will also bring an AI-first mindset to the role—using AI to move faster, improve the quality of the work, automate what is manual, and build practical solutions that fundamentally improve how work gets done. This is not a traditional program management role focused primarily on tracking milestones and facilitating meetings. It is a leadership role for someone who can think, influence, orchestrate, build, and execute.
What you'll do...
Shape Strategy & Solve Problems
- Partner with senior leaders to translate business priorities and complex problems into clear strategies, choices, and actionable plans.
- Bring structure to ambiguous problems, identifying the questions that need to be answered, decisions that need to be made, and work to move forward.
- Synthesize complex information into clear insights, recommendations, and executive-level narratives.
- Anticipate issues, dependencies, and opportunities and proactively recommend a path forward.
- Move effectively between developing the strategy and executing it, recognizing that the two often happen simultaneously.
Lead Strategic Initiatives
- Own high-priority, cross-functional initiatives from concept through execution.
- Establish clear outcomes, workstreams, milestones, decision points, ownership, and measures of success.
- Connect work across teams and functions, ensuring leaders understand how their work contributes to the broader objective.
- Identify when work is off track and actively intervene to resolve barriers, clarify decisions, and accelerate progress.
- Create accountability and momentum without adding unnecessary process or bureaucracy.
Influence & Direct Leaders
- Work confidently with senior executives and functional leaders, providing clarity on what is needed from them and when.
- Facilitate complex conversations, surface tradeoffs, and drive groups toward decisions.
- Challenge thinking constructively and know when to push, escalate, or adapt.
- Build trust quickly and influence outcomes without relying on formal authority.
- Hold leaders and teams accountable for commitments while maintaining strong, productive relationships.
Turn Strategy Into Action
- Move seamlessly from executive discussions to hands-on execution.
- Personally develop plans, analyses, presentations, communications, decision materials, and other deliverables to advance the work.
- Follow through on decisions and ensure commitments translate into action.
- Step into gaps when necessary rather than waiting for someone else to solve the problem.
- Maintain a strong bias toward progress, simplification, and results.
Use AI to Accelerate & Reinvent the Work
- Use AI as an everyday tool to think faster, solve problems, synthesize information, and accelerate execution.
- Identify manual, repetitive, or inefficient work and build AI-enabled tools, agents, and automations that simplify or eliminate it.
- Rapidly prototype solutions rather than waiting for perfect systems or long development cycles.
- Apply AI to improve planning, analysis, reporting, communications, knowledge management, program execution, and decision support.
- Look beyond individual productivity to identify opportunities to redesign how work gets done across the team and organization.
- Experiment with emerging capabilities, learn quickly, and help others adopt more effective, AI-enabled ways of working.
What You’ll Bring...
- Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to simplify complex and ambiguous issues.
- Exceptional program leadership and execution discipline across large, cross-functional initiatives.
- Executive presence and confidence working with, influencing, and appropriately directing senior leaders.
- A bias for action and willingness to personally do the work—not simply coordinate others doing it.
- Ability to connect the dots and see around corners, recognizing dependencies, risks, and implications others may not immediately see.
- Strong judgment and the ability to distinguish what requires executive attention from what can be resolved independently.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to translate complexity into concise, compelling recommendations.
- Ability to create clarity, accountability, and momentum across teams without adding unnecessary process.
- Comfort operating in an environment where the strategy may still be evolving while execution is already underway.
- Strong AI fluency and digital curiosity, with demonstrated ability to use AI to accelerate work, improve decision-making, and increase personal and team productivity.
- A builder mindset—comfortable experimenting with AI, automation, and low/no-code tools to turn ideas into practical solutions without waiting for a technology team to solve every problem.
What Success Looks Like
This leader makes complex work feel manageable. Senior leaders trust them to take an ambiguous, high-priority problem and figure out what needs to happen, align the right people, drive the decisions, and get it done.
They are equally comfortable in an executive discussion and in the details of building the solution. They use AI and technology to move faster, eliminate unnecessary work, and create better ways of operating.
They don’t just manage the plan. They help shape the answer, build the solution, and deliver the outcome.
