JOB SUMMARY
The Senior Director, Enterprise Partnerships is a strategic US & Canada marketing leader responsible for activating and pulling through global enterprise partnership & marketing strategy across the US & Canada. This role oversees the US & Canada Enterprise Partnerships marketing approach across categories such as airlines, rideshare, car rental, financial services, and other above-property partnerships, while working closely with the Global Partnerships team. This leader will be responsible for translating global partnership strategies and partner agreements into US & Canada integrated marketing plans, communication objectives, core messaging, paid media strategy, experiential activation plans, creative concepts, and scalable execution across enterprise partner assets and analyzing campaign results, identifying actionable insights, and optimizing future marketing initiatives. The role will also oversee and support the development of new continent-specific enterprise partnerships, building relationships that can sustain meaningful above-property partnerships for the sales and marketing organizations. This role is critical in transforming partnerships from transactional agreements into strategic brand platforms that drive performance, cultural relevance, customer growth, and long-term enterprise value.
CANDIDATE PROFILE Education and Experience
Required
- 4-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Marketing & Communications, or related major.
- 12+ years of experience in integrated marketing, brand, partnership marketing, agency, media, sales enablement, or cross-functional marketing strategy for consumer-facing brands.
- Demonstrated success building high impact marketing campaigns.
- Demonstrated experience leading partnership or brand playbooks, brand governance, marketing strategy and integrated marketing plans across complex portfolios.
- Strong experience partnering with internal and external creative, editorial, partnership, marketing and omnichannel/media teams.
- Strong strategic judgment paired with analytical, operational, relationship-building, and integrated marketing rigor.
Preferred
- Experience activating partnerships tied to travel or financial services preferred.
- Hospitality or travel industry experience preferred.
- Experience working across loyalty ecosystems preferred.
- Demonstrated people leadership experience, including the direct management of at least one employee.
CORE WORK ACTIVITIES
Partnership Marketing Strategy
Lead the US & Canada pull-through of global enterprise partnership strategy, ensuring activation plans are tailored to continent priorities, business objectives, and customer needs.
Work with the Global Partnerships team to translate global partnership agreements into integrated US & Canada marketing platforms that drive brand equity, customer acquisition, loyalty engagement, revenue, and partner value.
Collaborate with US & CAN Partnership leads on go to market strategies and execution where enterprise partnerships support sports/music partnerships (e,g NCAA, USSF AND NFL).
Ensure we are delivering on our contractually obligated goals and revenue targets through LTO and seasonal campaigns.
Partner with the Global Partnerships team on the annual roadmap for US & Canada activation, ensuring continent needs, timing, and business priorities are incorporated early in planning.
Identify white-space opportunities to support new continent-specific enterprise partnerships that would strengthen Marriott's broader partnership ecosystem focused specifically of new brands and or growth audiences for US and Canada.
Integrated Campaign, Communications & Activation Leadership
- Lead the development of integrated US & Canada activation strategies for enterprise partnerships, ensuring global strategy is translated into clear communication objectives, core messaging, creative concepts, paid media strategy, experiential activation plans, and executional plans.
- Define and lead the development of 360° activation plans inclusive of owned, earned, and paid channels.
- Orchestrate integrated campaigns across brands, performance, CRM, digital, mobile, partnerships, and experiential channels.
- Translate enterprise and regional priorities and insights into clear, actionable integrated marketing plans and briefs.
- Manage the interagency briefing process across internal/external creative agencies, paid and owned media, PR, social, experiential, and experiential.
- Ensure campaigns are insight-driven, culturally relevant, and locally relevant for the US & Canada market while remaining aligned to global strategy and partner commitments.
- Partner with Global Partnerships, Sales, Paid Media, Social Media, Loyalty, Creative, Public Relations, Product, Digital, and Omnichannel Marketing teams to activate marketing assets in enterprise partner agreements.
- Oversee US & Canada campaign toolkits, playbooks, and activation resources that enable consistent pull-through across media, promotions, events, on-property channels, and sales-facing opportunities.
- Oversee end-to-end campaign performance evaluation, using analytics and consumer insights to inform strategic decision-making and improve marketing effectiveness.
Enterprise Partnership Platforms & Development
- Partner closely with the Global Partnerships team to support the US & Canada integrated marketing strategy and execution for enterprise partnerships, ensuring cohesive storytelling, seamless execution, and delivery against partner agreements.
- Manage LTOs, partner campaigns, and 360° integrated campaigns across enterprise partners, including but not limited to US & CAN Airlines, Starbucks, Hertz, Visa, AMX, Coca-Cola, and other current or future US & Canada partnership priorities.
- Ensure partnership marketing is strategically aligned with the Marriott Bonvoy creative platform and framework and integrated across all portfolio campaigns.
- Oversee and support development of new continent-specific enterprise partnerships, including relationship development, connection-building, partner opportunity assessment, and contract development in collaboration with the appropriate internal stakeholders.
- Build relationships that sustain meaningful above-property partnerships for the sales and marketing organizations, with a focus on opportunities that can scale across the US & Canada business.
Loyalty, Credit Card & App Marketing
- Ensure the partnerships marketing campaigns, integrate and support the Bonvoy loyalty program, driving acquisition, engagement, and lifetime value.
- Where applicable partner with cobranded credit card marketing, aligning value propositions, lifecycle communications, and partner activations.
- Partner with product and growth teams to position the mobile app as a core engagement, personalization, and conversion platform, integrating into campaigns in a way to drive meaningful growth.
Omnichannel & Paid Strategy Integration
- Collaborate with Paid Media, Omnichannel Marketing, Social Media, Loyalty, Creative, Public Relations, and partner teams to define channel strategy and media investment approach for US & Canada enterprise partnership initiatives across paid, owned, earned, experiential, and partner channels.
- Ensure creative briefs are informed by media strategy and channel capabilities, enabling campaigns to deliver against both brand and business objectives.
- Foster strong collaboration between creative, media, and channel teams so ideas are designed to perform across the ecosystem.
- Ensure partnership campaigns are fully integrated across:
- Owned channels (CRM, app, website, social, on-property, loyalty)
- Paid media (digital, social, programmatic, OOH, experiential amplification)
- Earned and influencer ecosystems
- Align measurement frameworks and performance KPIs across channels.
Cross-Functional, Sales & Global Partnerships Collaboration
- Serve as the US & Canada marketing lead across internal and external enterprise partnership stakeholders, working closely with Global Enterprise Partnerships and cross-functional teams.
- Ensure US & Canada, global, sales, loyalty, social, paid media, public relations, creative, purpose-driven, and other relevant teams are integrated from planning and briefing through execution.
- Establish governance, briefing processes, and workflow alignment to ensure partnership obligations are met.
- Drive alignment between global enterprise partnership strategy and US & Canada market needs, ensuring pull-through is relevant, commercially meaningful, and operationally executable.
- For enterprise partnerships with a B2B component, lead communication with Sales Leadership to ensure US & Canada B2B needs are incorporated into contracts, reviewed bi-annually, and activation plans and that sales customers are hosted where applicable.
- Collaborate with departments such as Purpose Driven, Loyalty Marketing, Social Media, Paid Media, Public Relations, Creative, and Sales to ensure an integrated approach to partnerships and proper pull-through across media, promotions, events, and other activation channels.
- Elevate partnership marketing as a strategic growth engine through influence, clarity, and collaboration.
Planning, Performance, Measurement & Optimization
- Ensure accountability for contractual marketing deliverables and revenue targets.
- Collaborate on annual planning and campaign prioritization to maximize impact and efficiency.
- Establish KPIs and success metrics for partnership marketing initiatives.
- Lead post-campaign analysis and optimization frameworks.
- Partner with the data and analytics to use insights and develop reporting dashboards to continuously track and optimize partnership marketing investments and activations.
Leadership & Collaboration
- Lead, mentor, and develop high-performing teams across integrated partnership marketing, activation, relationship management, and cross-functional execution.
- Align cross-functional teams, including Global Partnerships, Sales, Paid Media, Social Media, Loyalty, Creative, Public Relations, Product, Omnichannel, Brand, Field, and continent marketing leaders, around shared objectives and clear ways of working.
