We're hiring a Senior Director, Content Analytics & Special Projects to join our Content team at EMARKETER.

The Role and Team:

This role sits within EMARKETER's Content organization and is responsible for driving strategic innovation across our research infrastructure while leading content analytics for the business. You will lead a portfolio of high-impact initiatives focused on modernizing the data, systems, and workflows that power our research products, while also helping shape content strategy through analytics and performance insights. Working closely with Content, Forecasting, Data Products, and Product & Technology leadership, you'll play a critical role in advancing how EMARKETER creates, manages, and delivers industry-leading research.

This is a hybrid role based out of our New York City office, with regular in office expectations.

Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship now or in the future and be within commuting distance of our New York City office. Relocation assistance is not available.

The Ideal Candidate Is:

  • Strategic and analytical: You can move seamlessly between research, data, and business strategy to identify opportunities, solve problems, and drive meaningful organizational impact.
  • Technically fluent: You are comfortable working with data, dashboards, and modern analytics platforms and can credibly partner with technical teams to evaluate solutions and tradeoffs.
  • A strong project manager and cross-functional leader: You excel at aligning stakeholders across teams, translating editorial and forecasting workflows into clear requirements, and driving initiatives to completion without direct authority over the people involved.
  • An exceptional communicator: You can distill complex analyses, technical concepts, and operational challenges into clear recommendations for senior leaders, analysts, and non-technical stakeholders alike.
  • Action-oriented and adaptable: You thrive in ambiguity, enjoy building new processes and frameworks, and are energized by mission-critical challenges that require creativity, initiative, and ownership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the modernization of EMARKETER's forecasting data structures, workflows, and supporting systems in partnership with Forecasting and Data Products leadership.
  • Develop scalable solutions that improve how research data is organized, maintained, reconciled, and delivered across the organization.
  • Identify and lead high-impact data products and special projects that advance content innovation and operational efficiency.
  • Automate data collection and reporting processes to reduce manual effort and improve data quality.
  • Define, track, and communicate content performance metrics, KPIs, and organizational goals.
  • Build dashboards and reporting that make content insights accessible and actionable for stakeholders across the business.
  • Partner with Content, Research, Forecasting, Sales, and Product & Technology teams to translate business questions into analysis, recommendations, and strategic decisions.

Desired Skills & Experience:

  • Lead the modernization of EMARKETER's forecasting data structures, workflows, and supporting systems in partnership with Forecasting, Data Products, and Product & Technology leadership.
  • Build alignment across Content, Data Products, Forecasting, and Product & Technology teams, managing competing priorities and stakeholder perspectives to keep initiatives moving forward.
  • Develop a deep understanding of forecasting methodologies, dependencies, and operational pain points, and identify opportunities to improve scalability, transparency, and efficiency.
  • Prototype solutions and concepts that can be scaled in partnership with Product & Technology, including centralized data structures, reconciliation processes, and workflow improvements.
  • Identify and lead high-impact special projects and data product initiatives that improve how research data is collected, managed, and utilized across the organization.
  • Define, track, and communicate content performance metrics, departmental goals, and organizational KPIs, providing actionable insights to Content leadership and other stakeholders.
  • Build dashboards and reporting that make content performance data accessible and actionable while informing content strategy, resource allocation, and business decisions.

Salary & Benefits:

  • $160,000 to $180,000 (dependent on skills, experience, and competencies)
  • Unlimited PTO, 10 paid holidays, and 16 weeks of parental leave
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance plans
  • Matched and vested 401(k) plan
  • Access to resources for financial planning guidance, family planning services, mental health support, and Employee Assistance Programs (EAP)
  • Additional benefits include commuter benefits, phone reimbursement, gym membership discounts, and more
Salary for the role is commensurate with experience and depends on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience.
