Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly accomplished and dynamic Senior Director of Business Development to manage and expand our engagement with a major global operator in the Oil & Gas and Chemicals segment. This is a strategic and high-impact role that requires a blend of deep industry knowledge, digital and technical expertise, and a proven track record of growing large engagements. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing leadership to the digital business within this key account, driving growth through proactive solution selling, and expanding footprint across the client's global operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Account Leadership: Serve as the primary senior-level point of contact for the digital business, deepening relationships and identifying new opportunities to expand business within the account.
  • Digital Business Growth: Lead the strategy and execution for digital engineering services within the account, focusing on areas such as Industry 4.0, Data and AI, Industrial Automation, and Applications, System Integration etc.
  • Large Deal Execution: Drive and close large-scale deals. This includes identifying opportunities, leading the sales cycle from negotiation to closing, and ensuring a smooth transition to the delivery team.
  • Proactive Solution Selling: Leverage a deep understanding of the client's business challenges to proactively develop and sell innovative, value-driven solutions rather than simply responding to RFPs. Partner with global engineering, delivery, and practice teams to develop and articulate a cohesive value proposition for the client.
  • Proven track record of managing accounts with an Annual Contract Value (ACV) of $25 million or more.
  • Industry Expertise: Apply a comprehensive understanding of the Oil & Gas and Chemicals markets to align offerings with the client's strategic objectives, including their engineering, asset management, and digital transformation goals.
  • Market Insight: Stay abreast of market trends, competitor activity to ensure remains a leading-edge partner for the client.
Qualifications:
  • A bachelor's engineering degree is required; an MBA or a relevant advanced degree is preferred.
  • 15+ years of progressive experience in business development, sales, or account management, with a strong focus on the Oil & Gas, Chemicals sectors.
  • Proven experience in securing and managing large deals with a TCV of $25 million or more.
  • Extensive experience with digital engineering services and technologies, including Industry 4.0, Data and AI, Industrial Automation, System Integration, IoT.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and grow global accounts with an ACV of $20 million or more.
  • Exposure to Global delivery model
  • A strong understanding of the global Oil & Gas and/or Chemicals sectors, with a particular focus on major operators.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence C-suite executives and key stakeholders.
  • Strong leadership and team collaboration skills, with a track record of driving cross-functional initiatives.
  • Ability to travel as required to meet with the client and other stakeholders.
