ABOUT THE ROLE
Gabb is seeking an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to help build, scale, and operate ourinfrastructure. This is a hands-on individual contributor role for someone who thrives on solving hardinfrastructure problems and wants to make a direct, technical impact without people-managementresponsibilities.
You will contribute to infrastructure reliability, CI/CD, observability, incident response, and costmanagement, working closely with the Lead DevOps Engineer and the broader engineering team whilereporting to the Director of Platform and Infrastructure. This role is deeply hands-on and includesparticipating in on-call and actively debugging production issues.
You’ll partner closely with engineering and product teams to support business needs, focusing onexecution, reliability, and continuous improvement.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
INFRASTRUCTURE & RELIABILITY
- Support infrastructure reliability and uptime across all environments — development, staging, andproduction
- Design and implement scalable, resilient systems on AWS that support continued customer anddevice growth
- Help manage multi-regional or highly available infrastructure with clear SLAs, failover patterns,and capacity planningGabb

- gabb.comIdentify and remediate security risks in infrastructure and deployment pipelines in partnershipwith engineering and security teams
CI/CD & DEVELOPER PLATFORM
- Build and maintain CI/CD systems and GitOps workflows that enable product teams to deploy withspeed and confidence
- Improve developer tooling, deployment pipelines, and environment management to reduceoperational burden on product engineering teams
- Manage Kubernetes and containerized workloads; apply infrastructure-as-code practices usingTerraform, Helm, and related tooling
OBSERVABILITY & INCIDENT RESPONSE
- Build and enhance observability practices — monitoring, logging, tracing, and alerting — thatprovide clear visibility into system health, performance, and risk
- Participate in on-call rotations and incident response, including root cause analysis and post-incident improvement processes
- Contribute to reporting and dashboards on infrastructure health, performance trends, and cost
SYSTEMS, PROCESSES & OPERATIONAL MATURITY
- Contribute to the infrastructure and platform roadmap aligned with company growth and productneeds
- Build and maintain operational processes, runbooks, and documentation that increase reliability,consistency, and knowledge transfer across the team
- Support infrastructure cost management — build visibility into cloud spend, identify waste, andalign resource usage with business goals
- Support new product initiatives with scalable platform solutions, ensuring DevOps considerationsare embedded early in architecture decisions
COLLABORATION & MENTORSHIP
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to other engineers on infrastructure and DevOps bestpractices
- Collaborate with engineering, product, and the Lead DevOps Engineer to translate business needsinto technical initiatives and priorities
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
EXPERIENCE & SKILLS
- 4+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or infrastructure engineering
- Demonstrated track record of building or significantly maturing DevOps practices — not justoperating within an established one
- Experience operating and scaling systems to millions of users or connected devicesGabb

- gabb.comStrong experience with AWS and cloud-based infrastructure at production scale
- Experience with Kubernetes and containerized workloads in production environments
- Proficiency in infrastructure as code (Terraform, Helm) and CI/CD pipeline design (GitOpsworkflows preferred)
- Strong command of observability practices: metrics, logging, tracing, and alerting systems
- Experience supporting multi-regional or highly available production systems with defined SLAs
- Experience with infrastructure cost optimization — not just monitoring spend, but activelymanaging it
