Wespath has an opportunity for a Senior DevOps Engineer. The role is responsible for how code and configuration move from source control through environments into Production, including CI/CD pipelines, source and configuration management standards, release automation, and environment promotion. This position partners with application development, infrastructure, security, quality assurance, Platform Engineering, and Site Reliability Engineering to modernize delivery practices, reduce manual effort, and improve the speed, safety, reliability, and auditability of deployments.

More specifically, as a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will have the following key responsibilities:

    • Administer and govern Azure DevOps and the broader DevSecOps delivery toolchain, including repositories, branching policies, build agents, artifact repositories, service connections, and pipeline security scanning tools.
    • Establish and maintain source code and configuration management standards as the authoritative owner of how code and configuration move between environments.
    • Build reusable, self-service pipeline templates and paved-road standards that delivery teams can adopt within approved guardrails.
    • Implement modern deployment patterns, including GitOps, blue/green, and progressive deployment approaches, with automated rollback and release gates where appropriate.
    • Integrate Infrastructure as Code modules and platform services into delivery pipelines to provision and promote consistent environments.
    • Integrate automated testing, quality gates, and security checks into delivery workflows in partnership with Quality Assurance, Security, and Platform Engineering.
    • Apply secure delivery practices, including secrets management, least-privilege service connections, vulnerability awareness, and policy checks.
    • Support change management and audit requirements by ensuring pipelines produce traceable evidence of approvals, testing, and deployments.
    • Partner with Site Reliability Engineering to embed release-readiness criteria, monitoring, logging, alerting, and deployment of health validation into delivery pipelines.
    • Use AI tools to improve efficiency and reliability within build and deployment pipelines.

Identify opportunities to modernize legacy deployment processes, improve developer experience, and increase the frequency and safety of releases.

    • Automate repeatable build, test, packaging, configuration, deployment, and operational tasks to reduce manual effort and improve consistency across environments.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve build, pipeline, packaging, deployment, configuration, and environment-related issues.
    • Create and maintain technical documentation, runbooks, standards, and reusable templates that improve delivery supportability and knowledge sharing.
    • Support production releases outside of business hours.
