Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, MIS, a technical-related field, or equivalent experience
- 5+ years' experience developing distributed/scalable systems
- Demonstrated proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, Java, or C++
- Ability to write clean, efficient, and maintainable code
- Proficiency developing and consuming APIs, including integrating with third-party enterprise SaaS platforms
- Experience building data pipelines, usage analytics, or reporting dashboards, and a data-driven approach to decision making
- Thorough understanding of what it takes to deliver an application from inception to production
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team
- Opinionated but you appreciate an environment where feedback is freely given, and your ideas are challenged
- Comfortable mentoring other developers
- Experience working with the OpenAI SDK and AI frameworks
- Understanding of AI principles (LLMs, Models, RAG, Agents, etc.) and experience with integrating AI into overall solution design
- Have shipped an AI-driven application to production
- Experience building software using AI-native engineering (AINE) tools and techniques such as Windsurf, Claude Code, Codex, and GitHub Copilot
- Hands-on experience integrating with or extending enterprise AI platforms such as Microsoft Copilot, Claude, or Glean
- Understanding of data privacy, security, and AI governance / responsible AI principles
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and their AI services is a strong plus
Certain states and localities require employers to post a reasonable estimate of the salary range. A reasonable estimate of the current base pay range for this position is $106,400 to $133,000 annually. Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors, including shift, location, experience, skill set, performance, licensure and certification, and business needs. The range for this position in other geographic locations may differ. Certain positions may also be eligible for variable incentive compensation, such as bonuses or commissions, that are not included in the base pay.
