    What We Are Looking For

    POSITION DESCRIPTION:

    Senior Designer (Natural Gas Plant & Midstream) to support plant engineering and construction projects, including both Greenfield and Brownfield developments. This role serves as a key technical resource responsible for managing drawing integrity, performing quality control, coordinating with internal teams and third-party engineering firms, and ensuring accurate as-built documentation across compressor stations and related facilities. Must be experienced in but not limited to AutoCAD, CADWorx and BlueBeam.

    • Job level will commensurate with experience and knowledge.

    What You Will Do

    POSITION KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Research and provide appropriate drawings to Project Managers (PMs) for Greenfield and Brownfield additions.
    • Serve as the primary point of contact ("go-to person") for plant project drawing support.
    • Collaborate with Field Operations to verify missing data and update critical drawings for compressor stations.
    • Assist Project Managers with sustaining projects by locating and identifying drawings requiring revision for IFC (Issued for Construction) and as-built updates.
    • Assess as-built project scope and determine appropriate team assignment for execution.
    • Perform quality control (QC) of SPID (Piping & Instrumentation Diagram) drawings.
    • Create sketches and review / QC schematics to ensure accuracy and completeness.
    • Provide clarification and interpretation of complex or unclear redline markups submitted for as-built updates.
    • Identify drawings requiring as-built updates that were not included in project close-out packages.
    • Assign and manage drawing numbers to maintain consistency and integrity within the company's numbering system.
    • Review IFA (Issued for Approval), IFB (Issued for Bid), and IFC drawing packages from third-party engineering firms.
    • Verify that materials specified in IFC packages comply with company material specifications.
    • Represent the Drafting department as a coordinator on outsourced engineering projects as needed.
    • Interface directly with third-party engineering firms to resolve missing or incomplete data required for as-built documentation.
    • Coordinate with procurement, logistics, and vendors regarding material issues (e.g., incorrect materials, damage, delivery schedules).
    • Work closely with field inspectors and construction teams to ensure critical materials are delivered and available on-site in a timely manner.
    • Strong experience in plant drafting/design, (pipeline and compressor station environments)
    • Extensive experience with P&IDs/SPIDs, schematics, and as-built documentation.
    • Familiarity with material specifications and engineering standards.
    • Experience coordinating with third-party engineering firms and vendors.
    • Strong attention to detail and ability to perform thorough quality control checks.
    • Experience supporting compressor station projects or similar industrial facilities.
    • Ability to interpret field data, redlines, and construction feedback into accurate drawings.
    • Job level will commensurate with experience and knowledge.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • A minimum of 15 years' experience required for this position with associate degree in drafting or equal.
    • A Minimum of 20 years' experience required for this position without associate degree in drafting or equal.

    POSITION WORKING CONDITION:

    • Office cubicle
    • Ability to sit or stand for long periods.
    • Position may require lift of up to 25lbs.
    • Some travel to other offices may be required.
    • Work Schedule:
    • 5-8's schedule (8 hours per day, 5 days a week)
    • Work in office Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday (Currently)
    • Work remotely Thursday & Friday (Currently)
