SUMMARY: Senior Design Engineers develop or redesign new or existing company products. Individuals in this position work from order requirements or other specifications and arrive at final design details utilizing CAD software and engineering calculations as required. Senior Design Engineers provide technical expertise to less experienced engineering personnel and may lead a team of Design Engineers and Cad Designers. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required, along with a minimum of ten (10) years of related engineering experience. LANGUAGE SKILLS: Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Proficient in algebra and geometry as is required to solve engineering problems. COMPUTER SKILLS:
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk and sit. Employee spends some time on shop floor. Most of the time will be spent sitting at a computer workstation and using a telephone. WORK ENVIRONMENT: Most of the time, the work environment is a pleasant, temperature-controlled office environment within a manufacturing setting. The employees’ workstation may be located on the second floor. While primarily office-based, the employee will have frequent interaction with shop floor personnel. Occasional travel to customer facilities may be required to review applications and support the installation, start-up, and commissioning of company products. In these environments, the employee may be exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, and varying noise levels. Employees are required to comply with all company safety policies and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as required by the work environment.
