    Your Role in that Mission: 

    As a member of Global Client Services, you are part of One Global Team: Empowered to Act, Make Connections and Get Results for our customers and their patients. 

    As the Senior Demand and Supply Manager, you are part of a centralized team that provides specialized technical services to clients as part of our enhanced service offerings. Specifically, this role specializes in providing upfront and ongoing demand planning services for more complex clients or accounts, including early demand plans, global inventory optimization strategies, proactive inventory management, portfolio management, and IRT set-up consultation.  This role acts as an informal leader in the Client Services team, supporting strategic development.  

     

    Key Responsibilities:  

    • Independently leads the Design, Implement, Interpret and Review inventory management plan to forecast supply plan of study drugs to global and sophisticated clinical trials, using sound supply chain techniques  

    • Informal leader within the team who looks to improve processes, tools, and resources for organization. Provides mentorship and guidance for new hires and less experienced planners and is viewed as a role model leader by peers.  

    • Provide input into User Requirement Specifications of Interactive Response Technology (IRT) medication management module and complete User Acceptance Testing if .  

    • Review IRT strategy to ensure it supports the strategic supply plans and that IRT settings are adjusted to optimize the supply and demand  

    • Ensures plans are robust and optimizes global and regional supply strategies to ensure continuity of patient supply in the most effective and efficient manner  

    • Develop and provide clients with reports on actual project spend versus budget  

    • Establishes connections between demand planning team and S&OP to ensure the latest forecast information is aggregated and integrated into the divisional S&OP process   

    • Partners with the Enterprise Project Manager, along with global and site project management teams and/or directly with the customer to inform and proactively share key client data necessary to facilitate an effective supply chain planning cycle  

    • Ensure temperature excursion process is performed as   

    • Establish and maintain financial forecasts and monthly billing processes for assigned complex client projects  

    • Assist in training and on boarding of new employees (buddy concept)  

    • Stay on top of relevant cGMPs, GCPs, and other regulatory requirements and ensure study management activities are aligned.  

    • Demonstrate and promote company vision.  

    • Conduct activities in a safe and efficient manner  

     

    As Demonstrated By: 

    Project Management  

    • Understands the customer’s target market, segmentation, and value proposition. Identifies the client’s needs, distributes those needs, and collects feedback regularly to ensure efforts are meeting their expectation.  

    • Structures demand plans in line with client strategy —starting from an identified need, sets objectives and specific goals   

    • Speaks and writes in a clear, concise, and organized way. Listens carefully to others to ensure understanding and effective communication. Effectively documents and communicates key learnings so that the client or audience understands.  

     

    Technical Knowledge  

    • Communicates analyses applicable to stakeholders involved and ensures all are informed.  

    • Manages demand planning projects efficiently in different systems to provide accurate forecasting information to core team, leadership, and the client. Maintains their own as well as the team’s accountability for using Thermo Fisher tools to help the team be successful.  

    • Demonstrates comfort with technology and uses innovations to advance the efficiency and effectiveness of work processes, procedures, and outputs. Leverages tools and technologies to ultimately move the project through its Demand planning phases.  

     

    Project Management Leadership  

    • Brings new or alternative perspectives forward to overcome difficulty or uncertainty and builds coalitions.  

    • Collaborates well with others and builds effective business relationships with various colleagues while fostering teamwork.  

     

    Key Requirements:   

    • Education: Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business/operations management (equivalent work experience may be considered) 

    • To foster a sense of belonging and connection, remote employees are expected to keep their camera on and participate in video calls both internally and externally, as appropriate.   

     

    Years of Experience:  

    • 5+ years of clinical supply chain and/or planning experience managing global supply chain design and logistics management, preferably as they relate to clinical program design and execution 

    • 4+ years experience if holding an advanced degree  

    • Understanding of clinical supply requirements, phases of clinical development, and the factors that influence study designs preferred
