    Description

    Summary
    Lead design, implementation, and project management of large-scale Life Sciences automation projects. Ensure DeltaV system solutions are cGMP-compliant, scalable, and optimized for efficiency. Collaborate with cross-functional teams and guide junior engineers while maintaining compliance with industry regulations.

    Responsibilities

    • Design, configure, and implement DeltaV control systems for complex Life Sciences projects
    • Develop batch sequencing, phase logic, recipes, and DeltaV graphics using DeltaV Live and Operate per ISA-101 and ISA-88 standards
    • Manage project schedules, budgets, resources, and full lifecycle execution, including FAT/SAT
    • Lead system architecture, industrial networking, and electrical design, including panels, MCCs, VFDs, and power distribution
    • Integrate third-party equipment via OPC UA, Ethernet/IP, Modbus, Foundation Fieldbus, or Profibus
    • Ensure compliance with GAMP5, cGMP, 21 CFR Part 11, and other regulatory standards
    • Troubleshoot automation challenges and drive continuous system improvement
    • Mentor junior engineers and coordinate with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies

    Required Qualifications

    • Bachelors Degree in Electrical, Control Systems, or Chemical Engineering
    • 815 years of automation and DeltaV engineering experience in Life Sciences
    • Extensive hands-on experience with DeltaV Live and Operate
    • Proficiency in ISA-101 HMI, ISA-88 batch processing, class-based design, industrial networking, and electrical design
    • Strong project management, leadership, and communication skills
    • Knowledge of GAMP5, cGMP, 21 CFR Part 11 compliance
    • Willingness to travel up to 25% and work extended hours if required

    Nice to Have

    • Experience with Rockwell, Siemens PCS7, or Ignition
    • Exposure to historian solutions, advanced analytics, IO-Link, or alarm management
    • Certifications in DeltaV or project management

    Additional Information

    • Location: Raleigh, NC (onsite with potential site travel)
    • No relocation assistance; US work authorization required
