Job Title: Senior DBA Consultant
Location(s): Lincoln, NE
Location:
- Onsite preferred in Lincoln, Nebraska, USA.
- May include some remote support responsibilities.
- On-call rotation required (nights/weekends).
Experience Level:
- Senior DBA with the ability to work independently.
- Strong troubleshooting and production support background.
- Experience managing enterprise database environments.
Core Responsibilities:
- Administer, maintain, secure, and optimize database environments.
- Independently resolve performance issues, job failures, space issues, login/connectivity problems, and database inconsistencies.
- Monitor database health, availability, and integrity.
- Support high-availability and disaster recovery configurations.
- Manage incidents, service requests, and operational tickets.
- Recommend automation and modernization opportunities, including AI-driven improvements.
- Collaborate with application teams during troubleshooting and upgrades.
Required Technical Skills:
- Microsoft SQL Server (2012–2023).
- SQL Server Administration.
- T-SQL development (queries, stored procedures, triggers).
- Backup and Restore.
- Performance Tuning and Query Optimization.
- Database Tuning and Index Optimization.
- SQL Server DMVs and SQL Traces.
