    Job Summary:
    Palolo Nursing and Rehabilitation Center part of Palolo Chinese Home is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nurse Aide to provide basic nursing care to patients under the supervision of a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse. The Certified Nurse Aide will assist with activities of daily living, monitor patients' vital signs, and ensure a safe, clean environment for patients.

    Pay starting: $19. 00 per hour - based on experience and skillset

    Qualifications:

    • Successful completion of a High School Diploma or GED required.
    • Possess some experience and/or knowledge of activities appropriate in group setting for older adults
    • Be able to lead activities and work with individual participants, as well as in group setting.
    • Current CPR & First Aid certification
    • 2 step TB clearance
    • Criminal Background Check, Fingerprinting, and Drug Screen Clearance
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment


    Responsibilities:

    • Ensure participant safety: Continuously supervise participants, prevent falls, respond to emergencies, and maintain a clean and safe environment.
    • Provide personal care: Help with dressing, grooming, toileting, showering, transfers, walking, and other daily activities.
    • Support activities: Encourage participation in recreational, educational, physical, social, cultural, and therapeutic activities.
    • Provide transportation assistance: Help participants safely arrive, leave, and get in/out of vehicles.
    • Monitor and report changes: Observe participants' conditions, behaviors, and progress and report concerns to the Supervisor.
    • Follow care plans: Participate in assessments, goal-setting, interventions, and interdisciplinary care planning.
    • Document accurately: Complete daily notes, attendance, care-plan records, incident reports, ADL assistance, fluid intake, and other required documentation.
    • Maintain a professional environment: Provide excellent customer service and build positive relationships with participants, families, caregivers, volunteers, and staff.
    • Assist with program operations: Help plan activities and outings, manage supplies, maintain activity areas, and orient new aides or volunteers.
    • Follow health and safety standards: Practice infection control, hand hygiene, PPE use, emergency preparedness, and confidentiality.
    • Stay compliant: Maintain required health clearances and complete all required training and continuing education.
    • Perform additional duties: Complete other responsibilities assigned by the Supervisor.

    Work Hours:

    • Full time- 8 hour shift
