    Description

    Title: Senior Data Streaming Engineer
    Location: Woodlawn, MD
    Onsite: 5 Days/Week
    Rate: $75/hr C2C
    Interview: In-Person

    Key Requirements:
    • Bachelor's degree and 10+ years of progressive IT experience, including senior or advisory engineering roles
    • 5+ years of experience in enterprise-scale streaming or secure delivery environments
    • Expert-level proficiency with Kafka, Flink, Java, Avro, and Confluent Schema Registry
    • Strong experience defining enterprise streaming patterns, reference architectures, standards, and reusable solutions
    • Experience with Kafka Streams or similar stateful streaming frameworks
    • Strong experience with CI/CD and DevSecOps practices
    • Experience designing secure CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Maven, Bitbucket, and Nexus
    • Experience with enterprise vulnerability management and secure coding practices
    • Experience with POAM-aligned remediation workflows
    • Hands-on experience designing secure microservices
    • Experience with Kafka security configurations including SSL/mTLS and SASL/OAUTHBEARER
    • Strong understanding of Kafka internals including brokers, partitions, replication, consumer groups, ISR, retention, ACLs, RBAC, and cluster health
    • Experience troubleshooting consumer lag, serialization failures, state-store issues, rebalancing, replication delays, and performance bottlenecks
    • Ability to create enterprise documentation, technical standards, reference architectures, and reusable patterns
    • Strong technical leadership, mentoring, troubleshooting, and cross-team collaboration skills
    Preferred Experience:
    • Experience working within a Center of Excellence, architecture council, or multi-team governance organization
    • Federal government or regulated-environment experience
    • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes/OpenShift
    • Experience with Black Duck, SonarQube, Fortify, or similar security platforms
    • Confluent Platform RBAC and enterprise Kafka security
    • Large-scale streaming workloads and streaming architecture
    • Schema evolution, state management, fault tolerance, and partitioning strategies
    • Building shared libraries, starter templates, and reusable streaming components
    • Advanced distributed-system debugging and production incident triage
    The role requires a senior technical leader who can guide application and platform teams in adopting standardized patterns for Kafka, Flink, CI/CD security, schema governance, microservices, and secure streaming delivery. Senior Data Streaming Engineer
