Senior Data Security Engineer (Microsoft Purview)

Preferred: Experience with Microsoft Purview Data Map, DSPM, enterprise data scanning, securing M365 Copilot, advanced integrations (Sentinel, Defender XDR, Power BI), and knowledge of Zero Trust and broad regulatory frameworks (HIPAA, PCI-DSS, SOX, CCPA). - Act as subject matter expert for Data Loss Prevention (DLP), Information Protection, Sensitivity Labels, Insider Risk Management, Records Management, Data Security Posture Management (DSPM), eDiscovery, Audit, and Compliance Manager.

Job Summary (Senior Data Security Engineer Microsoft Purview):

- Serve as the hands-on technical lead for enterprise data security, focusing on Microsoft Purview across cloud and on-premises environments.
- Design, implement, and optimize Microsoft Purview solutions for data protection, compliance, and AI governance within M365, Azure, endpoints, and multi-cloud environments.
- Act as subject matter expert for Data Loss Prevention (DLP), Information Protection, Sensitivity Labels, Insider Risk Management, Records Management, Data Security Posture Management (DSPM), eDiscovery, Audit, and Compliance Manager.
- Lead the protection and governance of data for M365 Copilot and AI-enabled workloads, extending controls across Exchange, SharePoint, Teams, and other platforms.
- Collaborate closely with Security Operations, Legal, Privacy, Compliance, and Cloud Engineering to translate regulatory requirements into scalable, operational security controls.
- Automate and streamline security operations using PowerShell; integrate Purview with Defender XDR and Sentinel; develop security posture reporting using Power BI.
- Ensure regulatory compliance (GDPR, NIST, ISO 27001, etc.) through structured change control, deployment methodologies, and operational governance.
- Provide expert-level troubleshooting, analytical support, and stakeholder engagement to drive enterprise security initiatives.
