Job Overview: SMBC is in the process of leading a Digital Transformation across its Americas Division as it continues to modernize its technology, focus on a data-driven approach, grow, and plan for the future. As part of this expansion, SMBC is seeking experienced Software Data Engineers with 10+ years of relevant experience across Charlotte, North Carolina; Jersey City, New Jersey; and India to support the design and development of a strategic data platform for SMBC Capital Markets and Nikko Securities Group.
Role Objectives: * The role will be part of the Data Strategy team spanning the SMBC Capital Markets and Nikko Securities teams, as well as SMBC Americas Division's broker-dealer and swap-dealer entities.
* The role will be involved in the active development of the data platform in close coordination with the SMBC team, beginning with the establishment of a reference data system for securities and pricing data and later moving to other data domains.
* The consulting team will follow internal development standards to contribute to the overall agenda of the Data Strategy team.
* The implementation of this strategic platform on SMBC's Azure Cloud Platform will require the solutions and expertise outlined in the qualifications below.
Qualifications and Skills: * Full-stack Python/PySpark development experience.
* Proven experience as a Data Engineer with experience in Azure Cloud.
* Experience implementing solutions using:- Azure Cloud Services
