Responsibilities

• Design and extend Microsoft Fabric lakehouse and pipeline solutions for international retail data integration.
• Build automated data ingestion pipelines from APIs, vendor portals, scheduled exports, and flat files into Bronze, Silver, and Gold layers.
• Standardize, cleanse, and transform retail data according to defined business rules and data quality requirements.
• Extend POS star-schema and dimensional data models to support international retailers, currency conversion, and enterprise dimensions such as SAP Material, Customer, and Fiscal Calendar.
• Develop automated schedules, triggers, exception handling, monitoring, and refresh alerts to improve pipeline reliability.
• Enable semantic models and business context within Microsoft Fabric to support Copilot and Data Agent natural-language queries.
• Prepare and validate governed Gold datasets for downstream reporting in Tableau and other business intelligence applications.
• Monitor pipeline performance, troubleshoot integration issues, and implement improvements to data quality and processing efficiency.
• Create technical documentation and support operational handover and knowledge transfer with client BI and IT teams.
