- Schedule: 37 hours/week; Day shift, 8:00 AM 4:30 PM ET
- Duration: Target start 08/17/2026; through 12/31/2026 with potential extension

About the Opportunity
This contract role will support the build-out and ongoing management of a data infrastructure supporting a data lab initiative. You will design and enhance pipelines and ETL processes, ensure robust data security and governance, and automate workflows to enable real-time data access and analytics.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage data infrastructure for a lab/analytics environment.
- Design, build, and maintain data pipelines and ETL processes.
- Implement and enforce data security, governance, and compliance controls.
- Optimize data systems for performance and reliability.
- Automate workflows to support real-time data access and analytics.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
- 3 5 years of experience in data engineering, data architecture, or cloud engineering.
- Proficient in SQL.
- Programming skills in Python or Java or Scala.
- Experience with Azure or another major cloud platform.
- Familiarity with containerization/orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity, data governance, and compliance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in government, public safety, or legal data environments.
- Certifications in Cloud Engineering, Data Engineering, or Security.
- Familiarity with GIS data, real-time streaming technologies, or Airflow.
Work Environment
- 100% onsite in Wilmington, DE; no travel required.
- Security/background screening required.
