    Description

    Senior Data Architect

As Senior Data Architect, you will be responsible for defining and driving the data architecture strategy behind our products, from inception to launch. A successful candidate will have a strong sense of problem solving, teamwork, accountability, and the ability to understand business functions and requirements, translating them into scalable, well-governed data architecture while navigating competing priority tradeoffs.

    What You Will Do:
    • Lead architecture initiatives independently and deliver positive impacts throughout the organization.
    • Apply in-depth knowledge of the business to design enterprise-level data models and translate business requirements into architectural standards and design specifications governing the flow and storage of data across multiple systems.
    • Evaluate and select data platforms, tools, and technologies that best support scalability, performance, and long-term maintainability across the organization.
    • Define and document data architecture standards, best practices, and design patterns for engineering teams to follow.
    • Partner with data engineers to guide the implementation of data pipelines, ensuring designs support accuracy, validity, and reliability of data at scale.
    • Identify opportunities to optimize data tools and architecture used to transform, manage, and access data sources across the organization.
    • Establish frameworks for performance monitoring and data quality across multiple systems and pipelines.
    • Perform root cause analysis on systemic or recurring architectural issues and design advanced, scalable solutions to prevent future points of failure.
    • Own the data governance strategy and work with designated privacy teams to ensure that data modeling and handling procedures are compliant with laws and policies.
    • Prepare accurate, easy-to-follow architectural documentation and design specifications.
    • Build trust and respect with stakeholders and engineering teams across the organization.
    • Mentor engineers and analysts on data modeling and architecture best practices.
    • Contribute to a culture of innovation and technical excellence.

To Be Successful, You Will Have:

    • BA/BS in Engineering, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, or related quantitative discipline (Master's preferred).
    • 6+ years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or a related field, with a track record of designing data systems at scale.
    • Deep expertise in data modeling and architecture design, with hands-on proficiency in a combination of languages and tools including but not limited to SQL, C#, Kusto, Cosmos, Microsoft Visual Studio, Azure Synapse Analytics, and Snowflake (or similar).
    • Proven experience designing and governing data architecture across multiple systems or teams, not just within a single project.
    • Proficiency in navigating GIT in the work environment.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence technical and non-technical stakeholders.
    • Self-driven, meticulous, and curious in nature.
    • Ability to prioritize in a complex and fast-paced environment.
    • Excellent attention to detail with desire to learn and master new technologies.

    In Return, You Can Expect:
    • The opportunity to define and shape data architecture strategy for a growing global gaming division.
    • A high-impact, cross-functional role working closely with engineering, product, and leadership teams.
    • Competitive compensation and benefits package.
    • Flexible/hybrid work arrangements.
    • Ongoing opportunities for professional development and growth within a global organization.
    • The chance to mentor and influence best practices across data engineering and analytics teams.
    • The satisfaction of building the data foundation that powers safer, cutting-edge gaming experiences worldwide.
