Description
An established financial services organization in Vienna, Virginia is seeking a Senior Data Analyst to support data analysis, reporting, and business intelligence initiatives.
About the Opportunity:
Shift: Day shift
Schedule: Monday through Friday (hybrid, 3 days per week)
Hours: Standard business
Setting: Hybrid
Responsibilities:
Partner with business stakeholders, analysts, and technology teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical data solutions
Analyze, clean, process, and validate large datasets to support reporting, business intelligence, and data science initiatives
Define data requirements, business rules, data definitions, and quality standards
Perform data quality audits, reconciliation, UAT, and accuracy testing to ensure data integrity
Apply statistical techniques and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver analytical insights and support ongoing initiatives
Qualifications:
4 to 7 years of experience in data analysis, reporting, or a related analytical role
Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or technical field
Strong hands-on experience with SQL and scripting in Python or R for data manipulation and analysis
Advanced experience with data cleansing, preprocessing, validation, troubleshooting, and data quality management
Experience with statistical analysis techniques, including distributions, variance, correlation, regression, and hypothesis testing
Desired Skills:
Experience using AI-assisted analytical tools
Exposure to Power BI and PySpark
Understanding of data governance practices
