Description
Job Title: Senior Data Analyst (Power BI / AWS / SQL) Location: Houston, TX (Hybrid – 2–3 Days Onsite) Duration: Contract Rate: DOE
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain enterprise Power BI dashboards and reports.
Gather business requirements and translate them into scalable analytics solutions.
Develop robust Power BI data models, datasets, and semantic models.
Create advanced DAX measures, calculations, and optimized reports.
Analyze data from PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, AWS-hosted systems, and Unified Data Hub (UDH) environments.
Integrate Real User Monitoring (RUM) and Application Performance Monitoring (APM) metrics into dashboards.
Validate data quality, troubleshoot inconsistencies, and perform root cause analysis.
Partner with engineering teams to resolve data issues and improve reporting accuracy.
Define KPI standards and support enterprise data governance initiatives.
Provide technical leadership and mentor junior analysts on Power BI best practices.
Required Skills
8+ years of experience as a Data Analyst or Business Intelligence Analyst.
5+ years of hands-on experience with Power BI.
Strong expertise in:
Power BI Desktop
Power BI Service
Data Modeling
DAX
Power Query (M)
5+ years of advanced SQL experience.
Experience with PostgreSQL or other relational databases.
Experience working with AWS cloud data environments.
Strong knowledge of DynamoDB or other NoSQL databases.
Experience creating executive dashboards and KPI reporting.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder communication skills.
