The Senior Data Analyst will support a large AML rule migration by testing the deployment of an additional system into the AML SAS Viya environment. This role is focused on business reporting and analytical judgment, not quantitative modeling or algorithm development.
The line of business supports AML transaction monitoring and compliance for payments data (wires and SWIFT) by developing, validating, and reconciling rule-based reporting. The team ensures migrated rules accurately replicate legacy system outputs, documents discrepancies, and supports regulatory and compliance objectives.
The project involves migrating AML rules/reports from a legacy platform to SAS Viya, implementing new process/data flows into SAS Viya with associated AML Transaction Monitoring Rules/Parameters, performing data load validation, reconciling results at record level, identifying and documenting discrepancies (e.g., data availability, date logic changes), refining SAS Viya logic to align new LOB data flows/products with existing AML Rule Typologies, performing defect identification, root cause analysis support, defect resolution tracking and testing, and producing final, well-documented reconciliation artifacts.
This role will offer insight into SAS Viya 4.0 deployments, AML subject-matter experience, and new banking products/services in a supportive, collaborative environment. The Senior Data Analyst will interact with AML Transformation, Delivery & Insights team members, while having the ability to work with minimal oversight.
