Marcus Corporation is in search of a Senior Counsel who will be responsible for providing legal advice, assistance and support to our hotel and theatre divisions and overseeing legal matters in the areas of general corporate law, commercial transactions and real estate.

What you will do:
Collaborate with senior leadership to integrate legal strategy with business goals
Provide legal guidance and general oversight for complex corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and strategic investments
Manage commercial real estate transactions with limited oversight, including negotiating, drafting and reviewing commercial purchase and sale agreements and related documentation
Draft, negotiate and review contracts between clients, vendors and other business partners
Assist in the management of corporate litigation and disputes
Lead, train and mentor junior attorneys and legal staff
What we are looking for:
Juris Doctorate from an accredited school of law
Admission to practice law in the state of Wisconsin or eligible for admission on proof of practice elsewhere
4-6 years of relevant experience in a corporate or law firm setting
Experience in advising business clients regarding legal requirements and risks in a friendly and professional work environment
Strong organizational skills, including management of projects and workload and setting goals and priorities
Ability to determine practical solutions to complicated problems
Professional demeanor and team player with a high degree of confidentiality
Excellent communication, negotiation and writing skills
Robust knowledge of corporate law, including mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance and real estate
Ability to work on site our of our corporate office 5 days a week.
