Senior Counsel – AI & DataEVERSANA is seeking a highly skilled Senior Counsel to serve as a hands‑on legal advisor for the company's AI and data initiatives. The role will provide legal advice and risk assessment related to AI and data use across the enterprise, partnering with business, product, technology, Legal, Compliance, and Privacy teams.Key ResponsibilitiesCore Legal ResponsibilitiesProvide expert legal counsel to business unitsDraft, review, and negotiate complex commercial agreementsIdentify, analyze, and assess legal risks and provide proactive adviceStay abreast of relevant legal, regulatory, and industry developmentsCollaborate effectively with Legal and Compliance and cross‑functional teamsManage outside counsel relationships and legal expensesArtificial IntelligenceProvide legal advice and risk assessment on AI tools, models, and data‑driven initiativesIdentify and assess legal risks related to IP, data use, privacy, regulatory compliance, and contractsApply sound legal judgment to evaluate AI use cases and provide clear, business‑oriented guidanceServe as advisor to business, product, and technology teams supporting AI enablementEnable teams to move forward in a responsible, compliant, and commercially viable mannerIntellectual Property, Data, and AI AdvisoryAct as subject matter expert on AI‑related legal issues with a focus on IP and data riskAdvise on AI model development, training, licensing, copyright, and ownership of AI‑generated outputsGuide on data use, access, and privacy requirementsProvide guidance on protecting enterprise IP while managing third‑party exposureCommercial / ContractingDraft, review, and negotiate agreements related to AI, technology, and data use, including SaaS and technology agreementsAddress data usage provisions, licensing, training data rights, AI output ownership, indemnities, and risk allocationDemonstrate commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion through inclusive behaviors and bias mitigationPerform other duties as assignedMinimum QualificationsJuris Doctor from an accredited law school10‑12+ years of relevant legal experience, including advisory on technology, AI, data, or IPStrong ability to assess legal issues related to AI, data, and emerging technologiesTrack record of independently managing complex, cross‑functional legal matters to resolutionExcellent communication skills with ability to deliver practical, business‑oriented legal guidancePreferred QualificationsExperience in the technology industry or with AI‑driven products and servicesExperience with data privacy frameworks such as GDPR and HIPAAStrong background in intellectual property, especially copyright, licensing, or technology/IP transactionsExpectationsTravel: Less than 10%Hours: Monday‑Friday, 40+ hours per weekPhysical and Mental DemandsThe role requires frequent reaching, grasping, standing and/or sitting for long periods of time (up to 90% of the shift), walking, talking, and hearing. Occasionally required to lift or move up to 25 pounds.
