    About the Role

    Our client is seeking a Senior Cost Accountant to join their accounting and finance team. This individual will play a critical role in cost accounting, financial reporting, month-end close activities, and operational analysis across the business.

    The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, enjoy partnering with cross-functional teams, and have a strong foundation in cost accounting and financial analysis.     Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
    • 5+ years of accounting experience
    • Manufacturing accounting experience required
    • 3+ years of cost accounting experience
    • Strong Microsoft Excel skills
    • Experience working with manufacturing ERP systems
    • Solid understanding of GAAP and financial reporting
    • Experience with account reconciliations and month-end close
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
    • Excellent communication skills and ability to work across departments
    • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment

    Key Responsibilities

    • Support month-end close and financial reporting processes
    • Perform account reconciliations and maintain general ledger accuracy
    • Analyze manufacturing costs, variances, and operational performance metrics
    • Review job costing and investigate cost variances
    • Prepare monthly financial statements and management reports
    • Manage fixed asset accounting and monthly bank reconciliations
    • Support accounts receivable activities, including billings, collections, and aging analysis
    • Process credit applications and maintain customer account records
    • Assist with annual budgeting and forecasting efforts
    • Partner with operations, sales, and leadership teams to support business decisions
    • Participate in cycle counts, physical inventories, and internal audits
    • Prepare audit schedules and supporting documentation
    • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance accounting operations and reporting accuracy
