As our Senior Cost Accountant, you will have the opportunity to be a key contributor to the monthly close process, manage AR functions, reconcile accounts, and play an essential part in financial reporting and compliance.This is an opportunity for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment and enjoys taking ownership of key financial operations while working cross-functionally with teams like shipping, sales, and leadership.What You'll Be Doing as a Senior Cost Accountant:Posting daily cash receipts, billings and assisting with AR collectionsProcessing credit applications and prepare aging reportsPrepare monthly bank reconciliations and fixed asset managementPerform account reconciliations, resolving discrepancies, and maintaining the general ledgerPrepare timely monthly financial statements ensuring compliance with accounting principles and company policies, while identifying and explaining monthly variancesSupport internal audits, cycle counts, and physical inventoriesReview job costing and prepare schedule of variances for investigation.Assist in the preparation of annual budgetsWorking with other departments to support decision-making processes and ensure financial information is readily availableAnalyzing financial data, identifying trends, and preparing reports for managementAssisting with audit and preparing necessary documentationIdentify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of accounting operations and reporting.What You Bring as a Senior Cost Accountant:Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field5+ years of accounting experience (manufacturing experience is a must)Knowledge of GAAP and experience with account reconciliationsExcel proficiency, along with experience Manufacturing ERP systemsAbility to analyze complex financial data and identify trends.High attention to detail and a proactive, team-oriented mindsetAbility to work independently and juggle multiple prioritiesAbility to communicate effectively with staff at all levels, including senior management.Why Join Us?Competitive salary and benefitsCareer growth in a stable industryCollaborative environment where your voice mattersHands-on exposure to full-cycle accounting and financial operationsThis is a high-impact opportunity for someone who wants to grow their accounting career and be part of a supportive, results-driven team.
