Our client located in Greenfield, MA is looking for a
Senior Cost Accountant to join their dynamic team!
Your qualifications for the Senior Cost Accountant position are as follows:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 2-5 years of cost accounting experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Strong working knowledge of standard costing, job costing, and inventory valuation methods
- Computer proficiency including ERP systems and advanced Excel skills (e.g., XLOOKUP, SUMIFS, PivotTables, charts, and dashboards)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to analyze complex data
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Knowledge of the following preferred: cost modeling, variance analysis, performance benchmarking, budgeting, forecasting, and capital expenditure planning
- Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement experience preferred
Benefits you will receive as the Senior Cost Accountant:
- $80K-$120K/year, depending on experience

For the Senior Cost Accountant position your duties will include:
- Drive plant performance through accurate product costing, inventory management, and insightful operational analysis
- Support month-end close activities
- Lead budgeting and forecasting cycles
- Prepare reporting and perform ROI and cost-benefit analyses
- Collaborate with various departments to support strategic decision-making
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
- Assist with additional accounting activities including general ledger entries and balance sheet transactions
