The Senior Counsel role is based in Atlanta, GA, reporting to the VP, Associate General Counsel.
It involves providing legal guidance to executive leadership and business units in a highly regulated property & casualty insurance environment.
The position requires interpreting state and federal insurance laws, drafting and negotiating contracts, managing regulatory compliance, and overseeing responses to inquiries and examinations.
The role also includes managing outside counsel, supporting corporate governance, and monitoring regulatory changes for impactful implementation.
Candidates should have a JD, 7-10 years of relevant experience, strong knowledge of insurance laws, and excellent legal research, negotiation, and communication skills.
The position operates on a hybrid schedule, with at least three days onsite weekly.
