    Description

    Our client, a global Tier 1 automotive supplier, is seeking a Senior Corporate Controls Engineer to work regionally in the OH, KY and IN area as well as infrequent support for two sites in Canada. Travel is estimated at 30-35% of the time, some of that time does not include overnight stays.  This position is unique within the organization and plays a vital role in the collection of manufacturing data while serving as a technical liaison within plants and the corporate engineering group.  There is strong growth opportunity in this role for the successful incumbent. Relocation assistance is available for this role.

    Duties
    • Advise and develop strategies throughout the North American organization related to controls operations and manufacturing digitization
    • Design, implement, and maintain automated data collection systems to provide timely metrics and analysis to support manufacturing operations.
    • Work with production leadership to define requirements for data collection and visualization.
    • Assist the project team with data collection hardware, network infrastructure, protocol design, and data processing/analysis.
    • Design and implement Andon visualization screens and management reporting tools.
    • Continuously seek improvements in equipment and process performance.
    • Monitor system performance and provide guidance regarding system storage and processing requirements.
    • Be responsive to management requests for new features or modifications to existing features.

    Qualifications
    • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or relevant major. Will consider Associate's degree or no degree with equivalent applicable experience.
    • 3 years of PLC/HMI system planning, design, programming in information flow within a manufacturing setting.
    • Ability to travel up to 35% of the time
    • Knowledge of MES, SCADA, Inductive Automation Ignition system a plus.
    • MUST have start to finish programming experience with the following:
      • Allen Bradley (Rockwell) PLC
      • ABB Robotics (primary), Fanuc Robotics is also preferred 
      • Cognex Vision Systems (primary), Keyence Vision Systems is also preferred
    Salary and Benefits
    • Salary range - $140,000 - $145,000 plus up to 20% bonus potential
    • Medical, dental, vision - all starting 1st of the month after 30 days of employment
