Job Title: Senior Core Java Architect
Location: Chicago, IL (within 50 miles).
Salary Range:- $65/hr - $70/hr on W2
Required Skills & Qualifications:
15+ years of experience developing server-side applications using Core Java, with significant architecture or technical leadership experience.
Strong expertise in Java/J2EE, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, JVM tuning, garbage collection, multithreading, algorithms, and data structures.
Experience applying AI to software engineering, including AI-assisted development, agentic workflows, prompt engineering, and evaluation.
Strong knowledge of object-oriented design, architectural patterns, distributed systems, and microservices.
Experience designing RESTful APIs, web services, and scalable applications, with strong SQL and relational database skills.
Experience with messaging technologies such as IBM MQ, JMS, Kafka, AMPS, or TIBCO.
Experience with React and modern front-end development.
Knowledge of Linux/UNIX, TCP/IP, socket programming, and high-availability systems.
Experience with Git, Maven/Gradle, Jenkins, Ansible, and CI/CD practices.
Experience troubleshooting complex production issues and supporting performance-sensitive systems.
Strong communication, analytical, problem-solving, and technical leadership skills.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related discipline.
Desired Qualifications:
Python development experience in production services, automation, or analytics.
Experience designing secure, governed agentic AI solutions in enterprise environments.
