Job Description

Lead and execute assigned engineering projects while ensuring compliance with project requirements, timelines, and quality standards.

Design and review industrial control system and network architectures.

Review electrical schematics and control system designs for accuracy and compliance.

Develop PLC software utilizing IEC 61131-3 programming languages, including Ladder Logic, Function Block Diagram, and Structured Text.

Design and develop HMI applications to support machine operation and user interaction.

Support continuous improvement initiatives and engineering process enhancements.

Assist testing and field service teams with system integration, troubleshooting, startup preparation, and commissioning activities.

Participate in project kickoff meetings, design reviews, and customer-facing technical discussions.

Provide technical support to internal stakeholders and customers throughout the project lifecycle.

Travel up to 20% for customer visits, vendor meetings, and onsite commissioning support.

Perform additional duties as required.

The Successful Applicant

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related engineering discipline with 5-8 years of relevant experience. Candidates with an associate degree and significant controls engineering experience will also be considered.

Experience in industrial automation, controls engineering, or automated machinery environments.

Strong PLC programming experience, including Rockwell Logix Designer and Siemens TIA Portal.

Experience with variable frequency drives (VFDs), including Allen-Bradley PowerFlex and Yaskawa platforms.

Hands-on HMI/SCADA development experience utilizing platforms such as Siemens, FactoryTalk View, AVEVA InTouch, AVEVA Edge, or similar technologies.

Strong understanding of industrial networking and communications protocols.

Experience with engineering documentation, software version control, and code management best practices.

Familiarity with NFPA 79 and UL 508A standards.

Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365.
