About the Role
This role is for a Controls Engineer supporting the development and build of a leak testing cell. This is a hands-on, execution-focused role the ideal candidate is self-sufficient navigating Allen Bradley equipment, comfortable taking direction from a project lead, and able to pick up tasks and run with them independently while working alongside a team of engineers.
Machine/System Scope
Allen Bradley PLC, HMI, and Servos
Pneumatic motions
Pallet conveyor
Uson leak tester
Key Responsibilities
Program and debug the machine at the JR facility in Holland, MI
Work hands-on to troubleshoot and debug equipment during build
Take direction from the project lead while managing assigned tasks independently
Collaborate closely with a team of other engineers through the build and debug phases
Support installation and commissioning at the customer facility in Lubbock, TX
Location & Schedule
100% onsite in Holland, MI during programming/debug phase
Standard hours: 7:00 AM 3:30 PM
45 50 hrs/week to start, ramping to ~60 hrs/week during install
Install tentatively late January early February
What You'll Bring
Bachelor's degree preferred
5 7 years of controls engineering experience
3+ years hands-on Allen Bradley PLC experience (required)
Previous experience with leak testing equipment (required)
Comfortable working independently while taking direction from a lead
Strong team collaboration skills this role works closely with a group of engineers, not solo
