JOB DESCRIPTION
About the Role
This role is for a Controls Engineer supporting the final testing and installation of a material handling cell. This is a hands-on, execution-focused role the ideal candidate is self-sufficient navigating Allen Bradley equipment, comfortable taking direction from a project lead, and able to pick up tasks and run with them independently while working alongside a team of engineers.

Pallet conveyor
Fanuc Robot
Key Responsibilities
Support the Factory Acceptance Testing of the machine at the JR facility in Holland, MI
Collaborate closely with the existing team of engineers to learn the equipment and their roles in order to take over those responsibilities during the installation at customer facility
Support installation and commissioning at the customer facility in Hemlock, MI
Take direction from the project lead while managing assigned tasks independently
Location & Schedule
100% onsite in Holland, MI during programming/debug phase
Standard hours: 7:00 AM 3:30 PM
45 50 hrs/week to start, ramping to ~60 hrs/week during install
Install tentatively mid-October early November
What You'll Bring
Bachelor's degree preferred
5 7 years of controls engineering experience
3 years hands-on Allen Bradley PLC experience (required)
OSHA 10 training (required)
Fanuc Robot Experience
Comfortable working independently while taking direction from a lead
Strong team collaboration skills this role works closely with a group of engineers, not solo
Backfill for a senior team member candidate should be able to step in with minimal ramp-up
