Jefferson Solutions Group is seeking an accomplished Senior Contracts Manager to lead its federal contracting function and manage a diverse portfolio of prime contracts, subcontracts, task orders, contract vehicles, and strategic agreements. This highly visible role serves as a trusted advisor to executive leadership and provides cradle-to-grave oversight from opportunity and proposal development through negotiation, award, administration, performance, and closeout.
Partnering across Executive Leadership, Business Development, Capture, Finance, Program Management, Human Resources, Legal, and Operations, this leader will balance regulatory compliance and contractual risk with business objectives and growth. The ideal candidate brings deep federal acquisition expertise, strong business judgment, and the ability to independently advise senior leaders, engage government officials, and resolve complex contractual matters.
This is a remote position with occasional travel to our Washington, D.C. office as needed.
This position requires that applicants reside in the United States and have legal authorization to work in the U.S. Applicants must maintain U.S. residency for the duration of their employment.
The annual salary range for this position is $170,000.00-$190,000.00. The annual salary range is negotiable. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.

Key Responsibilities
Lead cradle-to-grave administration of federal prime contracts, subcontracts, task orders, IDIQs, BPAs, GWACs, schedules, teaming agreements, NDAs, consulting agreements, and other contractual instruments.
Review solicitations, contracts, statements of work, modifications, funding actions, deliverables, and related documentation; identify requirements, risks, exceptions, and negotiation priorities.
Lead negotiations and serve as a principal contractual interface with Contracting Officers, CORs, prime contractors, subcontractors, teaming partners, and other stakeholders.
Interpret and apply FAR, DFARS, agency supplements, contract clauses, flow-down requirements, representations and certifications, and other federal acquisition and compliance obligations, including organizational conflicts of interest, procurement integrity, cybersecurity, data rights, intellectual property, small-business requirements, and records retention.
Advise executive and program leadership on contractual rights, acquisition strategy, business implications, regulatory requirements, and risk-mitigation options.
Manage modifications, funding, options, changes, requests for equitable adjustment, performance matters, audits, closeouts, and other post-award actions, including support for government audits, compliance assessments, internal reviews, and interactions with DCAA, DCMA, GSA, and other federal oversight organizations as applicable.
Partner with Business Development, Capture, Proposal, Finance, and Operations on bid/no-bid decisions and acquisition strategy; review RFIs, RFQs, RFPs, BAAs, Sources Sought notices, and related acquisition documents; and support proposal compliance, contract-volume development, pricing and cost-volume coordination, assumptions, exceptions, customer discussions, negotiations, and strategic partnerships.
Oversee contract vehicles and strategic agreements, including vehicle pursuits, on-ramps, reporting, subcontract flow-downs, and portfolio optimization.
Maintain audit-ready files and visibility into obligations, funding, periods of performance, deliverables, options, risks, and upcoming actions.
Assess and build scalable contract-management policies, procedures, templates, checklists, clause libraries, negotiation tools, internal controls, executive dashboards, key performance indicators, technology, automation, analytics, and training programs; mentor contracts and cross-functional personnel; and support future recruitment and workforce planning as needed.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Contract Management, Finance, Acquisition, Law, Public Administration, or a related field.
12+ years of progressively responsible federal government contracting, acquisition, or contract-management experience, including leadership of complex contracts across the full lifecycle.
Extensive, demonstrated application of FAR and strong working knowledge of DFARS and other agency supplements.
Experience with solicitations, proposals, negotiations, awards, modifications, post-award administration, and resolution of complex contractual matters.
Experience with FFP, T&M/Labor-Hour, and cost-reimbursement contracts, as well as IDIQs, task orders, BPAs, multiple-award vehicles, and GSA or other federal platforms.
Proven ability to evaluate risk, exercise sound business judgment, develop practical solutions, and communicate effectively with executives, government officials, counsel, finance, program, and growth teams.
Exceptional negotiation, analytical, organizational, leadership, and written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to operate independently across multiple high-priority matters.
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree in Business, Technology Management, Acquisition, Contract Management, Public Administration, or a related discipline. FAC-C Professional, FAC-C Level III, DAWIA Level III, CPCM, CFCM, or comparable acquisition or contract-management certification is also preferred.
Fifteen or more years of federal acquisition or government-contracting experience. Current or former Unlimited Federal Contracting Officer Warrant, or equivalent senior federal contracting authority, is strongly preferred.
Experience supporting DoD and/or Intelligence Community customers and overseeing large, complex federal portfolios.
Knowledge of GSAM/GSAR, GSA and government-wide vehicles, and innovative acquisition methods such as CSOs, SBIR/STTR, and Other Transaction Authority.
Experience supporting capture, proposals, customer engagement, team leadership, and contract-management process, technology, analytics, or dashboard improvements. Experience advising senior government and industry executives on complex acquisition, contractual, or program matters is also preferred.
Active or recent U.S. Government security clearance preferred.
