Job Description:- Content designer with 4 to 10 years of experience writing editorial stories for a consumer digital storefront.
- Writes the featured stories, collection themes, and curated roundups that span a catalog of games and apps — finding the angle that connects individual titles to what people are actually interested in right now, whether that's a cultural moment, a seasonal hook, a genre resurgence, or an emerging play pattern.
- Works from a recurring editorial calendar in close partnership with curation, product, and design.
Top Skills: - Editorial writing and story development, trend spotting and cultural fluency, catalog knowledge across games and apps, voice and tone consistency, and writing to tight in-product constraints.
About the Role:- Client is seeking a temporary, contingent Content Designer to support editorial content development for games, apps, and entertainment experiences.
- In this role, candidates will produce clear, high-quality editorial writing and collaborate with internal stakeholders to help deliver content on a recurring publishing cadence.
Responsibilities:- Write and refine editorial content about games, apps, and entertainment, including (as applicable) storefront features, reviews, roundups, headlines, and short-form promotional copy.
- Deliver copy quickly and accurately across multiple lengths and formats (e.g., title cards, short blurbs, and ~400-word features).
- Translate curation inputs and/or performance signals into clear editorial angles, with an informed point of view on why a title, app, or moment matters.
- Support ongoing publishing operations by meeting deadlines and adhering to editorial standards, voice, and formatting requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners to ensure content is complete, consistent, and ready for publication.
Minimum Requirements:- Portfolio of published editorial writing about games, apps, or entertainment (e.g., storefront features, reviews, roundups, criticism).
- Demonstrated fluency with games and app culture, including genres, communities, and emerging trends; ability to articulate and defend an editorial point of view.
- Track record of shipping work on a recurring publishing calendar (e.g., weekly/daily cadence).
- Ability to write clean, compelling copy at multiple lengths, from very short headlines to feature-length pieces (~400 words).
- Comfort working in Figma alongside designers and maintaining copy in spreadsheets and/or a CMS.
- Experience turning curation inputs and/or data signals into an editorial narrative or angle.
Preferred: - Background in VR/AR, gaming, or entertainment media.
- Portfolio of published editorial writing about games, apps, or entertainment — storefront features, reviews, roundups, or criticism.
- Genuine fluency with games and app culture: knows genres, communities, and what's breaking out, and can defend a point of view about why a title matters.
- Track record shipping on a recurring publishing calendar.
- Writes fast and cleanly at multiple lengths, from a six-word title card to a 400-word feature.
- Comfortable in Figma alongside designers and maintaining copy in spreadsheets or a CMS.
- Experience turning data or curation input into an editorial angle.
- VR/AR, gaming, or entertainment media background preferred.

Pay Range: $70 - $75/hour on W2
The specific compensation for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role as well as the cost of labor in the market; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment.
