    Description

    OPENTEXT - THE INFORMATION COMPANY

OpenText is a global leader in information management, where innovation, creativity, and collaboration are the key components of our corporate culture. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to partner with the most highly regarded companies in the world, tackle complex issues, and contribute to projects that shape the future of digital transformation.

    AI-First. Future-Driven. Human-Centered.

At OpenText, AI is at the heart of everything we do-powering innovation, transforming work, and empowering digital knowledge workers. We are hiring talent AI can''t replace to help us shape the future of information management. Join us.

    YOUR IMPACT

The Content Strategist owns the integrity, consistency and performance of OpenText's messaging and content across the four-level messaging framework - Strategic Engagement, Executive Activation, Value Alignment and Solution Validation. The role makes sure the right message reaches the right audience, at the right level, in the right channel and format. It governs and orchestrates content; it does not produce it.

    WHAT THE ROLE OFFERS

Messaging-framework governance. Own the integrity of the L1-L4 architecture, ensure each asset is tagged at the correct level - for example, that a low-level product capability isn''t mis-tagged as L3 - and prevent drift, such as BUs rewriting the market narrative. Enforce that lower-level messaging attaches up into L1 to leverage it, rather than replicating it.

Cross-BU and cross-channel consistency. Hold the enterprise-wide view across all BUs, partners and the field, and eliminate replicated or conflicting messaging so the market hears one coherent narrative.

Content performance and insight. Track what content is and isn't used, and analyze what works by channel and why - separating a content or messaging problem from a misaligned call to action. Report findings up to leadership, including a view on why content is or isn''t performing.

Quality assurance and standards. Set the quality bar for content and hold a guaranteed review and sign-off say before assets are published - covering messaging fit, correct tiering (L1-L4) and fitness for purpose. Production stays with PMM and specialist authors and technical accuracy stays with SMEs, but the role has a formal quality gate so the standard of content matches the performance it is accountable for.

Campaign journey mapping. Partner with campaign managers to map which level of content belongs at each stage, channel and format, accounting for buyers arriving well into their journey, and keep landing pages free of stage-irrelevant detail.

Discoverability (SEO and GEO). Ensure all web and public-facing assets have strong SEO and GEO (generative-engine optimization) findability, so OpenText content surfaces in search and AI-generated answers. Dedicated SEO specialists sit on another team but own execution, so coordinate closely with them and with web/digital on the on-site experience.

Content inventory and lifecycle. Maintain the recommended asset-type list (bill of materials) per product tier - across all tiers, not just tier one - monitor for staleness and prompt the owners (PMMs and industry strategists) to refresh, and govern where content lives and how it is accessed.

Leveraging AI. Apply AI to accelerate the role''s work - for example, persona development and audience research, and to scale governance, inventory and performance analysis.

Tactical publishing and admin (to be confirmed). Blog publishing and content calendars. Not yet formally under this role''s remit, to be confirmed; the intent is for product marketing leads to publish blogs directly.

    WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

    • Reduction in duplicated or conflicting messaging across BUs - governance reviews completed, with issues logged and resolved.
    • Share of assets correctly tiered to the framework level.
    • Content performance reporting in place - usage, engagement and conversion by channel - with a regular readout to leadership.
    • SEO and GEO targets set and tracked (organic and AI-answer visibility).
    • Content inventory currency - share of tier-one assets up to date.
    • Campaign journey maps delivered for priority campaigns.
