Job Summary

Job Description - POS Technical Consultant (Retail Support Project) Duration : 10Weeks.

Role: POS Technical Consultant

Project Type: Retail Application Support (AMS)

Key Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Provide L2/L3 support for Retail POS applications, including incident resolution, service requests, problem management, and root cause analysis.
• Monitor and support day-to-day retail store operations to ensure business continuity.
• Troubleshoot and resolve POS-related issues involving transactions, payments, promotions, pricing, receipts, and peripheral devices.
• Support integrations between POS, ERP (AX 2012/D365), eCommerce, payment gateways, and other retail systems.
• Perform impact analysis, defect fixes, enhancements, deployments, and production support activities.
• Coordinate with business users, vendors, and technical teams to ensure timely issue resolution within SLA commitments.
• Participate in release management, testing, and post-deployment support activities.

Skill Requirements

• Strong experience in Retail POS support and troubleshooting.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 Retail and/or D365 Commerce/Retail.
• Strong technical knowledge of POS architecture, store operations, retail transactions, and payment processing.
• Experience in system integrations involving POS, ERP, payment systems, and external retail applications.
• Experience in incident management, RCA preparation, service requests, and production support.
• Knowledge of SQL queries, data analysis, and troubleshooting.
• Strong understanding of retail business processes and store operations.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
