QA Automation Engineer

Role Description

Seeking an experienced QA Automation Engineer with 8 plus years of experience in automation testing using Cucumber Karate and Selenium. The role focuses on designing test strategies developing automated and manual test solutions validating REST APIs improving software quality and supporting Agile delivery teams. The ideal candidate should have strong analytical problem solving and communication skills with the ability to adopt new technologies and testing tools.

Key Responsibilities

Create test plans test data test procedures and manual as well as automated test scripts

Participate in application design reviews business requirement reviews and functional requirement reviews

Participate in code reviews to ensure software quality and testability

Develop accurate reports for software defects and testing outcomes

Identify and recommend quality process improvements focused on defect prevention

Design business driven and system level test cases

Ensure test environments accurately reflect business requirements for execution

Assist in the development of internal test automation tools and utilities

Execute manual and automated test scripts for complex enterprise applications

Collaborate with project teams to establish testing entry and exit criteria

Plan and execute regression testing for project releases

Develop project testing plans for medium and large scale initiatives

Work directly with business users and stakeholders to define testing requirements

Perform technical and functional analysis across multiple projects and initiatives

Recommend improvements to testing strategies test plans and quality processes

Analyze monitor and report test execution status and results

Identify testing issues and communicate risks to project managers and business stakeholders

Define regression testing production verification and validation strategies for future releases

Support Agile development teams throughout the software development lifecycle
