Detailed Job Description:
Perform design analysis, documentation, testing, implementation and support for BMC Mainview in the mainframe systems environment
Consult and provide customized recommendations to the installation team based on experience within the BMC monitoring tool
Install and manage mainframe software deployments in a highly granular SYSPLEX environment
Maintain high quality and consistency of systems software and automation processes
Enhance installation scripts, reporting and automation using supported mainframe tools such as JCL, REXX, SAS, SQL, PYTHON and Java/Javascript
Complete assignments by due dates, without detailed supervision
Aligns risk and control processes into day-to-day responsibilities to monitor and mitigate risk; escalates appropriately
Actively engage in strategic goals for mainframe engineering, the department and organization specific to the BMC Mainview installation (ie: Mainview Explorer or Mainview Viewer)
Provide input and follow-through for continuous improvement to mainframe systems engineering processes and procedures
Perform troubleshooting for BMC Mainview
