As a Senior Consultant within our Accounting Advisory practice, you'll work directly with CFOs, Controllers, and Finance leaders to solve complex accounting challenges that have a measurable impact on business performance.

What You'll Do

You’ll help clients address complex accounting and reporting challenges, including:

  • Financial reporting and SEC filing support, including Forms 10-K, 10-Q, and 8-K
  • Technical accounting research and implementation of new accounting standards
  • Accounting process optimization and finance transformation initiatives
  • Transaction-related accounting support, including mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, carve-outs, and IPO readiness projects
  • Development of accounting policies, controls, and reporting processes
  • Communication of findings, recommendations, and solutions to client leadership teams
  • Collaboration across client and CrossCountry teams to deliver practical, business-focused solutions
  • Contribute to developing and implementing firm-approved, AI-enabled solutions for clients and collaborate with firm leadership to identify compliant opportunities to enhance client solutions and internal processes

What You'll Bring

 
  • 3-5 years of experience in accounting, financial reporting, technical accounting, audit, or advisory services
  • Prior experience in professional services (public accounting, advisory firm, or management consulting firm)
  • Strong operational and technical accounting background, including experience researching complex technical accounting issues proactively; SEC reporting experience preferred
  • In-depth knowledge of accounting standards (U.S. GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and/or IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards))
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to work effectively in client-facing environments
  • Ability to travel (varies by client engagement)
  • Comfort with AI: Demonstrated ability to responsibly explore and adopt firm-approved AI tools to enhance productivity and innovation
  • Continuous Learning Mindset: Openness to learning and applying emerging technologies including AI and automation in alignment with firm policies and client standards

 

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CA certification preferred

For applicants located in Virginia, CrossCountry Consulting is required to include an estimate of the compensation range for this role. The following range takes into account a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skills, experience, education, licenses, certifications, business needs, and internal equity. The current estimated range is $90,000 - $120,000 per year + annual bonus + additional benefits.
