Hixson Architecture, Engineering, Interiors is seeking an experiencedconstruction field representative to support the construction phase of complex commercial, industrial, food & beverage, and science and technology projects. In this role, internally titled Construction Administrator, you will serve as a critical liaison among owners, contractors, and design professionals to help ensure construction quality, adherence to contract documents, and successful project delivery.

This is an excellent opportunity for a construction professional who enjoys a combination of field observation, problem-solving, client interaction, and coordination with multidisciplinary design teams.

You will work alongside architects, engineers, interior designers, and project managers on projects for some of the world's most recognized brands.

What You'll Do

As a Construction Administrator, you will:

• Conduct on-site construction observations and document findings accurately and professionally
• Monitor construction progress, quality, and compliance with project documents and contract requirements
• Serve as a liaison among clients, owners, contractors, and Hixson project teams
• Assist in resolving construction-related questions, field conditions, and project issues
• Coordinate closely with architects, engineers, and project managers throughout the construction process
• Review construction activities to help verify alignment with design intent and owner expectations
• Support project closeout and successful completion of construction-phase services
• Represent client interests with professionalism, responsiveness, and integrity

Qualifications

Required

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
• 10+ years of experience in commercial and/or industrial building construction
• Experience conducting field observations and documenting construction activities
• Strong understanding of building systems, including:
  • Mechanical (HVAC)
  • Electrical
  • Plumbing
  • Refrigeration
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to build effective relationships with clients, contractors, owners, and project teams
• Ability and willingness to travel approximately30-40%
