Senior Construction Project Engineer (EPC) — Run Your Scopes on a Megaproject

McCarran, NV | Full-Time | $105,000 – $135,000

The Opportunity

This is where construction careers accelerate: complete ownership of your scopes on one of the country's most ambitious industrial builds. Our client, a rapidly scaling clean energy innovator with an in-house EPC team, is hiring a Senior Construction Project Engineer to work alongside Construction Managers and Superintendents from preconstruction through the start of production. Trade scheduling, RFIs, submittals, procurement, budget tracking, daily field inspections — the scopes you're assigned are yours to deliver.

Why You'll Love It

  • Complete scope ownership: Not a paper-pusher role — you manage schedule, budget, and execution
  • Owner's-side EPC: Build for the owner, see projects through to production
  • Career runway: Direct exposure to construction leadership on a fast-growth site
  • Nevada advantage: No state income tax, Reno-Tahoe living

What You'll Do

  • Meet daily with subcontractors and crews to keep production on schedule and on budget
  • Collect and analyze shop drawings, design specs, and material requirements for contract compliance
  • Provide technical input for work plans and schedules; flag production, material, and equipment risks early
  • Track daily production, schedule, and budget projections; document activities in company systems
  • Manage RFIs, submittals, procurement/RFPs, and schedule for assigned scopes
  • Own cost coding and project quantity input with finance and accounting; review and approve crew timecards
  • Drive quality assurance across specs before, during, and after work; manage certificates and inspections
  • Plan field layout with crews and engineering; manage utility marking and permits before work begins
  • Conduct Job Hazard Analyses and present at weekly safety meetings
  • Support estimating and design development with technical input
  • Reconcile job close-out checklists with designers and subcontractors

What You'll Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • 5+ years of construction engineering, scheduling, or design experience
  • Intermediate knowledge of cost coding, budgets, and project financials
  • Intermediate scheduling knowledge and industry best practices
  • Command of construction equipment, techniques, drawings, specs, and materials standards
  • Ability to juggle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong verbal and written communication; self-starter mentality
  • A passion for sustainability and building things that matter

Own your scopes. Build your career. Apply now.
