    Position Summary

    The purpose of a Conduit Assembler is to install electrical systems in the Power Control Room (PCR) and to ensure the PCR is shipped and delivered on time.

    Essential Responsibilities

    • Performs standard conduit bends and offsets
    • Properly installs conduit & devices (interior & exterior)
    • Accurately lays out, modifies, & installs wireway/cable tray per design
    • Properly installs lighting, pipe lighting, & fixtures (interior & exterior)
    • Demonstrates knowledge of conduit types, sizes, & fittings
    • Properly & safely uses & maintains tools (band saw, threader, knockout)
    • Reads & uses tape measure/other measuring tools
    • Demonstrates ability to work from standard conduit schedule
    • Wiring (i.e. anchoring, tie-wrapping, routing, flagging, and wire tagging)
    • Crimping
    • Wire/Cable stripping
    • Adhere to all manufacturing policies and practices
    • Ensure quality by following standard work/process instructions and identifying any potential risks to product quality
    • Ensure that work areas remain clean and well organized

    Minimum Qualifications

    • High school diploma or General Education Equivalent Certificate
    • Successful candidate will typically have a minimum of 1 year of relevant wiring experience in a manufacturing environment.
    • Must have previous conduit experience with both thick and thin wall conduit.
    • Must have a basic command of the English language, both written and verbal Must have basic mathematical skills (i.e. fractions, conversions)

    Skills, Abilities & Other Requirements

    • Basic mechanical knowledge
    • Must be familiar with common and job specific tools
    • Must be able to read a tape measure
    • Must be able to read and interpret prints (e.g. specification sheets, wiring diagrams, schematics, three-line and part drawings)
    • Must be able to perform basic point-to-point wiring

    Working & Environmental Conditions

    • Lifting up to 40lbs
    • Standing on ladder up to 6-8 hours per day
    • Sit in a semi-enclosed space to perform work
    • Work overhead for extended periods of time
    • Adhere to all safety policies and practices
