SUBJECT: Senior Computer Technician - Technology Services Department
According to the terms of the contract, the following computer technician position is being advertised.
TECHNOLOGY SERVICES DEPARTMENT - CENTRAL ADMINISTRATION
Minimum Qualifications:
- At least 5 years' experience in the IT field
- Experience in a Microsoft, Apple, and Google environment
- Experience with Instructional and Data Systems
- Experience managing a small team
Preferred Qualifications:
- Technical certifications such as A+ and N+
- Microsoft certifications such as MCP, MCTS, MTA, MCSA, MCSE
- Experience with Microsoft Win11, Win10
- Experience with a work order entry system and inventory system
- Experience with Microsoft Intune,or other imaging/deployment software
- Experience with Microsoft, Google, and Apple Educational Platforms
- Experience with Student Information Systems (SIS)
- Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS)
- Experience with Single Sign On Systems (SSO)
- Experience with Instructional/Curriculum Applications
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support and maintain the district's Infrastructure, Instructional, and Data Systems.
- Support and maintain the district's computer systems, such as desktops, laptops, and tablets as well as their peripherals and including, but not limited to, Microsoft, Apple, and Google.
- Support and maintain a substantial AV inventory, such as Interactive boards, document cameras, and sound systems.
- Support and help maintain inventory of the teams supply of tech equipment & parts
- Deploy supplies as requested by team members
- Install, diagnose, repair, maintain, and upgrade all hardware and equipment while ensuring optimal performance.
- Assist in preparing, maintaining, and upholding procedures for logging, reporting, and statistically monitoring PC performance.
- Support the instructional and Data systems and software such as the SIS, LMS, SSO, and curriculum applications.
- Create procedures for the Computer Technicians to follow out in the field.
- Manage back-end systems, such as patch management and security systems.
- Responsible for managing the workflow of at least 5 other technicians and will report to the Assistant Director of Technology Services.
Other Responsibilities:
- Assist in preparing, maintaining, and upholding procedures for logging, reporting, and statistically monitoring PC, Data, and Instructional systems performance.
- Accurately document instances of hardware and software failure, repair, installation, and removal.
- Assist in developing long-term strategies and capacity planning for meeting future computer hardware and software needs.
- Support development and implementation of new computer and software projects and new hardware installations.
- To coordinate all vendors responsible for end user device management and support.
- Monitor district wide technology inventory.
Compensation: According to the Contract
