Senior Computer Network Architect

Salary: $110,000–$120,000 annually
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Computer Network Architect to support secure DoD enterprise and tactical environments. This position requires extensive systems engineering and architecture experience across network infrastructure, servers, virtualization, storage, data center systems, encrypted communications, and configuration management.
Responsibilities
• Design, integrate, support, and troubleshoot secure systems and network architectures.
• Support Windows and Linux servers, virtualization platforms, storage systems, and data center infrastructure.
• Perform systems engineering and architecture activities within DoD enterprise or tactical environments.
• Support change control, configuration management, and version enforcement processes.
• Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot network encryptors.
• Manage firmware updates and maintain compatibility across deployed systems.
• Support repeatable deployments using DevOps and CI/CD practices.
• Maintain system documentation, architecture records, configurations, and implementation procedures.
• Coordinate technical changes with engineering, operations, cybersecurity, and program teams.
• Identify system risks, infrastructure deficiencies, and recommended corrective actions.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent demonstrated experience.
• Minimum of 7 years of systems engineering or architecture experience in DoD enterprise or tactical environments.
• Hands-on experience with Windows and/or Linux servers.
• Experience with virtualization platforms, storage systems, and data center infrastructure.
• Prior DoD environment experience, including TS/SCI networks.
• Experience with change control and configuration management.
• Working knowledge of encryptor configuration, firmware management, version enforcement, and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with DevOps or CI/CD practices supporting repeatable deployments.
• Active TS/SCI clearance.
• Current Cisco CCNP certification.
• Current DoD 8570 IAT Level II baseline certification.
Approved IAT Level II Certifications
Candidates must hold at least one of the following:
• CompTIA Security+ CE
• CCNA-Security
• CySA+
• GICSP
• GSEC
• SSCP
• CND
Preferred Qualifications
Hands-on proficiency with one or more of the following:
• Nautobot
• AWX
• Active Directory
• Forward Networks
• Splunk
• ServiceNow
• GemOne
• Chimera
