    Position Overview

    We are seeking an experienced and business-focused Regulatory Compliance Manager to own and lead and further mature our global compliance program across U.S. and international operations. This role partners closely with Operations, IT/MIS, Human Resources, Customer Service, Sales, Product Management, Finance, Legal (including MEUS), and senior leadership, to enable commercial growth while ensuring strong legal and regulatory compliance.

    This individual will play a key role in strengthening compliance frameworks, supporting regulated customer engagements (including U.S. government and EU markets), and building scalable processes that promote both operational efficiency and risk mitigation. This is a full-time, exempt role designed for an experienced compliance professional who can operate independently, drive program execution, and partner effectively across a global organization.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Policy Development and Maintenance: develop, implement, maintain, and update internal compliance program aligned with Mitsubishi Electric corporate and Company business operations

    • Develop and Maintain customer facing "Trust Center" aligned with regulatory requirements including Company commercial terms and conditions, EULA, privacy policy, and related procedures

    • Lead and coordinate efforts to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g. GDPR, CRA, NIS2, DORA, CMMC, NIST-800)

    • Administer export control compliance (ECA role), including:

    • Oversee daily review of orders in accordance with company policy

    • Coordinate escalation to MELCO when required

    • Partner with Customer Service, Sales, and internal stakeholders to ensure compliance in transactions and order processing

    • Develop and conduct cross-departmental compliance training and maintain a calendar of compliance-related trainings

    • Serve as the primary contact for compliance and privacy-related matters

    • Monitor and coordinate compliance activities across headquarters and international offices

    • Lead support for internal and external audits, risk assessments, and remediation tracking

    • Manage compliance with evolving federal, state, and global laws and regulations

    • Monitor evolving changes to the regulatory environment and recommend process updates accordingly

    • Lead and participate in organizational risk assessment and gap analysis processes

    • Continuously improve the compliance framework based on audits, regulatory changes, and risk assessments

    • Develop policy approval workflow and organize policy documentation

    • Ensure appropriate recordkeeping for all compliance activities

    • Serve as an active member of the Legal Compliance Committee

    • Maintain register of regulatory obligations

    • Contribute to evaluation processes of new systems from a compliance perspective

    • Prepare and deliver periodic reporting to senior leadership on compliance performance

    • Support MEIDS incident response activities where regulatory, contractual, or privacy obligations are implicated

    • Own the enterprise compliance management framework, annual compliance roadmap, and cross-functional compliance operating rhythm.

    • Develop and maintain compliance KPIs, executive dashboards, maturity assessments, and periodic reporting for senior leadership.

    • Lead government and regulated-customer compliance programs, including CMMC, NIST 800-171, FedRAMP-related customer obligations, and customer compliance assessments.

    • Maintain compliance evidence repositories, audit-readiness materials, control documentation, remediation trackers, and corrective action plans.

    • Administer third-party, supplier, distributor, reseller, and strategic partner compliance due diligence processes, including privacy, security, sanctions, restricted-party, and regulatory reviews.

    • Coordinate privacy and data governance activities, including records of processing, data mapping, privacy impact assessments, transfer impact assessments, and cross-border data transfer documentation.

    • Maintain data retention, records management, and data destruction compliance processes in partnership with Legal, HR, MIS, Finance, and business stakeholders.

    • Manage customer trust and assurance activities, including customer questionnaires, compliance attestations, Trust Center content, and responses to customer privacy, security, and regulatory inquiries.

    • Implement and continuously improve compliance workflows, repositories, tools, and process automation for obligations management, policy lifecycle management, training, evidence collection, and issue tracking.

    • Lead compliance process improvement initiatives and coordinate cross-functional remediation efforts arising from audits, risk assessments, incidents, customer reviews, or regulatory changes.

    Education & Experience

    • Bachelor's degree in business, Legal Studies, or a related field

    • 7+ years of experience in regulatory compliance, legal operations, corporate governance, risk management, or a corporate legal environment

    • Experience supporting government contracting and/or cybersecurity compliance requirements such as CMMC, NIST 800-171, ISO 27001, or FedRAMP

    • Familiarity with GDPR, international data protection laws, and cross-border data transfer requirements

    • Experience implementing compliance systems, tools, automated screening solutions, or scalable compliance workflows
