Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced compensation professional to join a career consulting team in a senior-level consulting capacity. This hybrid position requires at least three days per week working in the office or with clients.
The successful candidate will advise senior HR leaders and executives on complex compensation matters, lead major consulting engagements, mentor team members, and contribute to business development efforts. This is an opportunity to apply advanced compensation expertise while leveraging analytics, technology, and emerging AI-enabled tools.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, execution, and quality review of complex compensation consulting projects.
- Develop compensation philosophies, strategies, structures, and programs aligned with clients' talent objectives.
- Advise senior leaders on pay competitiveness, job architecture, compensation strategy, incentive design, and technology-enabled implementation.
- Analyze compensation data and translate findings into practical recommendations.
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders.
- Oversee project teams and coach less-experienced consultants.
- Manage multiple complex engagements while maintaining high-quality deliverables and deadlines.
- Identify opportunities to expand existing client relationships and develop new business.
- Stay current with compensation technology, analytics, regulatory considerations, and AI-driven solutions.
- Contribute to innovative approaches, thought leadership, and client-facing solutions.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, Finance, or a related discipline.
- 8+ years of experience in compensation consulting or a closely related HR advisory field.
- Demonstrated expertise in compensation strategy and consulting.
- Experience managing complex projects and client engagements.
- Strong knowledge of compensation programs, market analysis, incentive plans, compensation technology, and applicable regulations.
- Proven ability to advise senior executives and manage client relationships.
- Excellent communication, presentation, analytical, and leadership capabilities.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and approach complex problems proactively.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting multinational or globally complex organizations.
- Track record of contributing to business development and account expansion.
- Advanced analytical capabilities and experience with compensation or survey management platforms.
- Familiarity with AI-enabled compensation tools and emerging HR technology.
- Experience developing innovative consulting solutions or thought leadership.
- Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop other professionals.
