Job Title: Senior Communications Specialist, Incident Response

Job Summary/Purpose:
Assist in the development, management and execution of internal and external communications strategies for the incident response business function, in alignment with the company. Develop stories that can be used with all stakeholders across channels to help tell the story of becoming the premier utility. Work with the company's Public Information Officer as a core member of the communications team supporting Entergy's incident response function year-round, including severe weather, system emergencies, operational events and crisis activation. Assist with a communications strategy for executive leadership, including written messages, videos, multimedia presentations and creative and humanized storytelling. Ensure alignment amongst operations communications and the overall enterprise. Create goodwill with stakeholders to support Entergy's collective vision, mission, strategy and stakeholder objectives.

Attention to detail and ability to manage long-form documents and files is needed for this role. Crisis communications background is a plus. Spanish language skills are a plus but not required for this role.

Minimum education and experience required:
Bachelors Degree in a related field and 5+ years of experience in corporate communications or public relations is required OR in lieu of a bachelor's degree 9+ years of experience in corporate communications or public relations is required or equivalent experience
Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required of the position
Strong writing, editing and communications planning skills (AP style knowledge a plus).
Demonstrated ability to use or learn an array of publishing software such as Photoshop, InDesign, Office 365, HTML editing software, web analytics, social media platforms and a variety of audio, video and infographic production programs.
